Pamflet on their rise
Pamflet, a Czech band of young and talented people aiming high.
It's not so easy to describe people I just recently met. Since I've never been in a band (oh, really, Ludmila?) it's quite hard to imagine the process and everything that goes on behind the surface. That's why I just want to share few personal observations.
Even though I finished my 2nd degree in music theory and playing the piano, nowadays I (almost) forgot it all and I'm able to play maximum five songs. Thumbs up for anyone who can train so hard and is constantly improving his music skills to the next level. I wish I was that consistent in doing so. During the era mentioned above, it was compulsory to attend local concerts with the song I've been just playing. I still have goosebumps when I think about it. Hearing my name being called, opening the big white door and looking at the mass of people while my fingers were sweating and shaking - suddenly all 88 tiles on the piano looked the same and I couldn't remember which one is the starting point. Anyway, it worked like this: from the moment I touched the piano, I started to sing the melody in my head, while my fingers were moving subconsciously. Still, it wasn't my favorite thing to do, and I cannot count all the embarrassing times I turned to the audience just right after I made a mistake.
I just want to say these things aren't probably easy and it takes time to get used to them. Performing shouldn't be taken for granted. It's not just people doing their job, it's the reflection of measureless number of hours spent on practice, mutual understanding, connection and the energy on spot.
I'm sure these guys will surprise you in the nearest future. Stay tuned!
