On the other side
The aim of photography, for me, is to create something at least a bit different from the reality. That's why self-portraits are really, really challenging for me. I'm clumsy, almost-blind without my glasses and I get pretty nervous when things don't go the way I planned them. Since I realize that, I'm trying to make self-portraits without any expectations and just see what happens. Not only I always realize how hard it is for "ordinary" people to pose on the pictures, but also how seeing the pictures from the photographers view is a great advantage. I usually get exhausted, and I look quite funny behind the scenes (my roommate was looking all the time, gah) but mostly I can find some satisfying pictures.
Hopefully you'll enjoy this exception of seeing me in front of the lens.
